The picture of the tape measure makes me think of Baseball Tonight. At the end of every episode, they do a segment called
Going Going Gone. They show the homeruns that were absolutely crushed. It also shows how far the ball was hit. The farthest one that I remember was 482 feet. That was in an actual game. The farthest homerun that I've seen hit was in a homerun derby. Prince Fielder hit the ball 504 feet. He crushed it to the upper deck. When he hit the ball, he almost fell backwards because he was transfering his weight.
