Verrückt Water Slide

Picture From Here

The Verrückt water slide, which is located in Kansas City, Missouri, is opening in May 23 and is taller than the Statue of Liberty. The water slide being at least 17 stories tall is looking to breaking the Guinness World Record which is currently set in Brazil with the 14 story high Insano. If you are brave enough to ride this water slide you will first have to climb a set of 264 steps. Jeff, the creator of this ride, is also known as the 'Wizard of Water' because he also is responsible for the creation of many of the Water Park's attractions. Personally I would not like to go on this ride only because it seems like you could fall out of the raft and get severally injured. If you are brave enough to go on this ride though good luck!

  • The extensive roller coaster made my dad sick.
  • Everyone was hurtling into the store once the sales started.
  • The Christmas tree was illuminating.
  • I was mulling my study guide from Communication Arts last night.
  • The car propelled forward when the light turned green.
  • The group of children came up with radical ideas.
  • My mother was speculating on letting me go to the mall or not.
  • She surpassed the expectation of the judges.
  •  My father welded the two pipes together.

Micro Windmills

Jung-Chih Chiao, an Electrical Engineering professor at University of Texas in Arlington, had an idea to create Micro Windmills. He came up with this idea while thinking of ways to best contain energy the wind created through the night. The Micro Windmills are so small ten of them could fit on a grain of rice. Despite the small size, the Micro Windmills can withstand very strong winds because it is made up of very strong and flexible nickle. So many of these Micro Windmills can be made with a single slice of nickle meaning these Micro Windmills can be produced and sold cheaply. Chiao is now talking with a Taiwanese manufacturer WinMems Technologies Co., about putting Micro Windmills on the market. That means that soon we may be the owners of windmill chargers!
